About us
IPA Group Benevolent Fund
Is a fully independent charitable organisation (CIO Foundation model charity) providing support in times of hardship to current and former IFA members and their dependents, current IPA members and their dependents. The IPA Group is the world’s largest SME/SMP professional accountancy group and working together we can build a fund to support those you are experiencing difficult times.
The fund was established in 2023 and in the coming years plans to further extend support to those studying in the accountancy profession and a wider range of services to practising professionals.
‘‘At the IPA Group, our commitment to our members goes beyond services and support — it extends to standing by them during life’s most difficult moments. The Benevolent Fund is a reflection of that care. It offers real help in hard times and reminds our members they’re never alone. I’m proud of what it stands for — and even more proud of the community that makes it possible.’

Why I became a trustee?
I decided to become a trustee because it offers a meaningful way to give back to a valuable cause, allowing me to help people in need while contributing my skills to ensure the fund operates effectively and sustainably. Being a trustee places me at the heart of decision-making, enabling me to support members and their families during times of financial hardship
The benevolent fund is invaluable as it provides a critical safety net, offering financial support to members facing challenges.
This role not only allows me to give back but also to be part of a collective effort that makes a lasting positive impact on individuals’ lives.

My name is Nola Luyten FIPA, I have been a member of the IPA for 28 years with a focus on small business during this time, being a member of the IPA feels being part of a community, when I meet a new member, I sometimes say welcome to the family. The Benevolent Fund is an extension of this community, helping members when they become ill or when a child falls ill and they need short term financial support.
Becoming a trustee has meant that I can help members in a different way, it’s my way of giving back. I have stepped back from other committees so now I have the time to hopefully make difference in members lives when they need it.
Nola Luyten
I became a trustee following my retirement from the IPA after 16 years, the majority of the latter years spent with the IPA CEO and the IFA team working on the amalgamation of the IFA and the IPA and the formation of the IPA Group.
During this period, I grew to admire the work done by the London team, in particular the commitment to the SME sector. In terms of the fund specifically, have a personal interest in welfare and a strong belief that support must be provided to those whose circumstances, through no fault of their own, often demand it.
